Welcome!

This website is designed to help give parents information on the importance of reading with their family and how to start their own Family Read Night.

Every parent knows the importance of their child reading for school, but did you know that children who read outside of class for their own enjoyment do significantly better on tests? Kids who learn at a young age that reading is fun by reading with their parents or by observing their family read, are more likely to pick up a book for themself. And it doesn't have to be all work, reading together can be fun! Pick a book that will make you and your child laugh and then maybe take it a step farther by turning it into a game or a fun craft idea. Reading together can be fun for the whole family and help bring a family closer together.
